This research is motivated by the existence of a ritual procession in the construction of stilt houses as one of the customs of the people of Jambi. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the philosophical values ​​of the ritual process of building houses on stilts for the people of Jambi, using a phenomenological approach.

Based on the results of the research conducted, the philosophical values ​​contained in the Process Ritual of the Stage House in Pulau Raman Village, Pemayung District, Batang Hari Regency have the meaning and hope of Goodness in Life, away from all kinds of reinforcements, blessed and protected, always maintaining harmony and cooperation. be patient and always be optimistic in life. The Procession of Building a Stilt House in Pulau Raman Village, there are several stages in the process of building a stilt house in Pulau Raman village, namely holding family meetings and selecting builders who will work on the house, to get a mutual agreement so that there will be no misunderstandings with each other in the future, choosing the right place. agreed, setting up the pillars of the house, and making the frame of the house, installing tools on the roof of the finished house frame. Rituals and equipment in the procession of making a house, in the village of Pulau Raman there are traditions which are always carried out when building a house, such as installing or placing sweet bananas, sugarcane, and putting up red and white flags and other tools. And after the pole is finished, the middle pole or main pole is erected. When finished, use or install tools such as; Umbrellas, underwear, kebaya clothes, cloth ties, ordinary cloth, songket cloth and shoes which are placed under near the main pole. below and decorated with the shape of the face as women wear it; Eyeliner pencil carved to look like a face, Lipstick, Powder, Make-up, Parpum, and Seven-colored Flowers and other rituals. The philosophical values ​​of making houses on stilts in Pulau Raman Village, the tools that are installed are not only for display but contain many philosophical meanings for the hope of goodness in the house and living a social life and being protected from the influences of evil spirits. which might annoy the occupants.
