Reading the Al-Quran has been a regular activity for Muslims in the past until now. However, in reality, there are still many teenagers who cannot understand hijaiyah script. Therefore, eradicating hijaiyah illiteracy must be taken seriously and not only become a government program. Parents and teachers have the most extensive role in educating, especially reading and writing the Koran. The formulation of the problem in this research and service is that it is necessary to study the Qur’an starting from studying Makharij al-Huruf and then learning the science of recitation to helping these children learn how to read the Koran properly and correctly using the Iqro method.
The Ramadhan Mosque is one of the mosques in the Pinang Merah Housing Complex, Bagan Pete Village, Jambi City. At this mosque, students of the Study Program of Al-Qur’an and Interpretation of Sulthan Thaha State Islamic University Saifuddin Jambi were assigned to carry out community service. With the theme “Eradication of Al-Qur’an Illiteracy”, students are asked to teach the public how to read the Qur’an properly and correctly. In addition, for the preparation of students when they actually enter the community later. Community service at the Ramadhan mosque went well and smoothly. Many experiences were gained by lecturers and students in the process of implementing this activity. The community and mosque administrators are very cooperative in helping the implementation of community service activities so that a family relationship is established between the lecturers. students and society.
