This research was conducted considering that reading the Qur’an was a tradition of Muslims in the past until now, but the reality is that there are still many children who cannot understand the script of the Qur’an. Therefore, the Eradication of Al-Qur’an Illiteracy must be taken seriously and not only become a government program, parents and teachers have the most extensive role in educating, especially reading and writing Al-Qur’an. The problem formulation of this research is that learning the Qur’an is needed starting from studying Makharij al-Huruf then studying recitation to helping these children learn how to read the Koran properly and correctly using the Iqro’ method.
The result of this research and dedication is that there are obstacles that are felt during the activity including the interest of the mothers and the surrounding community, lack of interest in reciting the Koran, time constraints, because in this mosque it is determined from the asr prayer until five o’clock in the afternoon, in teaching children At the Fabiansyah Putra mosque, the teachers don’t have modules or lesson plans so they don’t set targets for children to recite the Koran, the children only recite the Koran so they are not required to memorize daily prayers and prayer readings, and there is a lack of media tools. learning, and other difficulties namely, difficulty making activities because the children here are on average children who attend full day school.
