Research is one of the duties of an academic (lecturer) in carrying out the duties of the Tri Dharma of highereducation (Education, Research, and CommunityService). Therefore, in carrying out the research, Ahmad Taufik and Bambang Husni Nugroho a lecturers in theAl-Qur’an and Tafsir Study Program, Faculty ofUshuluddin and Religious Studies UIN STS Jambi collaborated with students of the Study Program thescience Al-Qur’an and Tafsir in conducting research withthe theme Indonesian Muslim Modern Interpretation ofBirr Al-Wālidayn In the surah. Al-Isra’ [17]: 23-24.
It ishoped that with this collaboration, lecturers are motivated to continue to do research to carry out theduties of the Tri Dharma of higher education, in addition, a collaboration between lecturers and students in conducting research is also a place to train students tobecome reliable and professional academic candidates, especially in this field
