(Study of Voters’ Behavior Tendency in Jambi Province)

This research is motivated by the low electability of the Islamic parties and the tendency of voter behavior towards Islamic political parties at the regional level. Islamic political parties are a factor that needs to be taken into account in the political process because Islamic political parties were born from the majority of Indonesian people who are Muslims. This research This research uses a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods. Collecting data in this study by collecting some of the results of political surveys conducted by various institutions. Based on this research, several categories emerged that could be answered using survey research, for example regarding the relationship between voting behavior, one’s beliefs, developed opinions, characteristics of things, shared expectations, personal classifications, and knowledge. Various surveys carried out by various institutions nationally cover the scope, although the researcher only needs to receive the survey results. Field data collection was carried out through face-to-face and/or telephone interviews. The data that has been collected is then for the material being analyzed.

The results of this study found that the electability of Islamic political parties is very low. The tendency of people’s voter behavior towards Islamic political parties in Jambi Province is to accept and welcome Islamic political parties. However, with regard to the choice of legislative candidates, the public usually looks at the family factor and the track record of a legislative candidate in determining their political choices. the people of Jambi Province are not too fanatical about Islamic-based political parties, because for them Islamic and nationalist political parties are the same as any Islamic or nationalist party, there are still cadres involved in corruption cases in determining political choices for them, the most important thing is their track record and there are still ties kinship with them.
